wheel trims needed

I hope This is going in the right place because it's a bit of a grey area between a wanted and a question.

When I bought my BX it had 4 of these trims fitted:-



I say had because 1 went AWOL yesterday .

I now have 2 questions:-

1 - does anyone have any spares of this type that they will be willing to part with in exchange for beer tokens?

2 - Are these the correct wheel trims for a 1990 BX 14 TGE anyway, and if not, does anyone have any of the correct ones?

No there not correct.If memory serves correct,these are TRS/Leader on the Mk2 Bx and originally were first seen on Mk1 GT models.I dont have a full set of the originals (only 3) or have a couple of full sets of TZ trims .Although come to think of it my TGD does have a full set(scrap first comment).Im not bothered about having correct ones on and will fit the TZ type if needs be.

I fitted trims off a ZX and it looks the part now !

One of my GTi trims came off and it wasn't a pretty sight after about 2 hours of being run over. Roverman has the others now .

I could do with a couple of decent spare TGD ones if you have any for sale + still need a couple of valve covers to suit if any one has any to spare?

Someone called? you are quite right they are the wrong type anyway, the correct set for yours are the ones held on by the wheel-bolts the same as Richard has fitted to his TGD (2nd Picture)

Evening Kevan.I have 3 spare TG trims but they need a coat of paint,i also have 4 valve covers if your interested ?(other than the set on my TGD as already mentioned)then im down to just the TZ trims.Pm if any good ,Richard.

Hi Richard - just pm'd you.

Looks like one way or another I may be changing wheel trims anyway - if that happens I'll offer up the ones on the car now in case anyone wants them.

If I end up with the correct TG trims, is that clip ring that the other trims attach to easy to remove?

The clip ring should come off with the trims if it doesn't it's just a matter of tugging it off then re-fitting to the trim.
(the TGD ones don't have the ring.)

I have three of the 'button' type plastic wheel trims you're looking for(?) that are just about mint - the valve covers are missing unfortunately - if you are still looking for some 'pm' me

I managed to get my extra trim i needed from the chevronics centre. They were brilliant. You have to pay the price for them though im afraid as they are new items. Whether they can help?

Many thanks to all for the advice & offers of trims. I have now aquired a set of TZ trims from Richard (thanks for the speedy postage) - apologies to those purists out there but I just prefer the look of them . At least I've not fitted Halfrauds specials .

Weather permitting, I'm having another go at sorting out the scratches down the side of the car, using a scratch kit bought from the bay of E's, so watch out for pics of the car with it's new trims and (hopefully) sorted paint!
