1992 BX19TGD,White.144000miles.Full MOT as from this morning.
Its not going to win any beauty contests and it has most of the common faults we all know except the glovebox lid in still intact.
It has a "bespoke" roof rack and a great hefty towbar. It has been a "working car" most of its life carrying timber around by the previous owner but it starts on the button, drives well and still looks respectable.
Its had massive amounts of service work done including head skim/gasket and belt, some pipes alternator,oh god the list is endless.
It passed its MOT with just 1 advisory on the o/s track rod end having minor play so its good to go for another 12 months.
The reason i offer it is simple, after paying £148 fully comp for the 14TGE which ive just stupidly sold, then to get a quote for £450 3rd p,f&t on the TGD is just plain stupid.Same insured value, same mileage, same parking etc but my company(Lancaster) cant swap it on to my existing "Classic"policy as its newer than 1989.So i have to insure as a normal car policy.Any sensible offers please Pm me .Richard.

Thers no big bolts sticking through the headlining so it may have had captive bolts welded to it.To be honest Tim i havnt really looked in to it.I also was planning on using it as a "towcar" or "going to the tip with a load of junk" sort of thing so i wasnt that bothered about asthetics.I dont think you would win many prizes entering her in the next concourse event but hey i dont want squillions of quid either?

Im going to give it till the weekend and if theres no interest then i will have to go against all my Yorkshire instincts and insure/tax it.But it really pains me to be paying out the cars value every year to some fat cat insurance robbing Bast4rd!!!!!!!

The Little Visa is "resting" up at the farm waiting for me to pull the engine out .Its been in storage since its was 6 years old after the owner died. Its totally rot free but does need a respray as the typical 80,s Citroen paint has "spidered" and got little spots of surface rust but its never been welded or messed with ,but 20 years of standing hasnt done the engine any favours and its sounds like a valve has dropped when it turns over but we will see when i strip it down.
I didnt like Visa,s when they were current but now theve all but dissapeared ive softened to them. They really are quite quirky and nice to drive.Mind you when Bx,s were everywhere i didnt take much notice of them as i was a Gs nut for many years till they got difficult to run everyday and i got my 1st Bx.A mk1 14 Leader and i havnt looked back.

Nosed it into the garage this morning as the weather here is disgusting! I took off the heater fascia panel and had a tinker about and have managed to get the blower working as its supposed to.I was going to bypass twisty knob and fit a flick switch(on and off) usual trouble ,but as luck would have it things sprang back into life with a wiggle so thats 1 job off the "to do " list sorted.
Im getting to quite like the "shabby chic" look tbh and not that bothered if it doesnt go.I will revert back to plan A and use it as a tow car.Im not going to try and make it mint as its never going to be that sort of car buts its another one back on the road.
