Classic insurance

Does anyone know if I can get classic car insurance for an H reg BX19D and if so where's the best place to start looking.

Usual places really, Adrian Flux, Lancaster, EON, or, you could try the NFU, they're always cheap!

I added mine onto my existing 2CV policy with FootmanJames for very little money. Was well pleased

My H plate TZi is insured with Footman James for about £105 a year, so yes!

Also lancaster are very good, the GT is with them for similar sort of money.

I had the 14TGE with Lancaster but they couldnt change the policy to my 92 19TGD as it didnt qualify as it was newer than 1990?

They said a similar thing like that on the TZI as its a 91 when I swopped it from the St Tropez, I kicked up a fuss and they swopped it.

Get an online quote for an idea of price and then if you give them a ring and mention BX club UK you will recieve an instant discount, I think mine cane down to £98 for the year.

Just tried an online quote which was hopeless as it doesn't list the exact type of car i own, only goes to 5000 miles a year & they want over £380, thats £200 more than i currently pay with standard mileage

I see you chose the 1500 mile option, that'll only last me over 2 mths

Perhaps any higher & the premiums go way up.....

mind you get what you pay for - though once your down the road of classic insurance there is not that many to choose from. The only advice I can give you is the Adrian Flux are a bunch of c*"£s - intimidation and bullying are just part of their repetoir

And for those who may not know; Most if not all classic car Insurance policies require you to have a main motor policy running along side it as well. They are not set up as cheap everyday comuter policies.

i have my saab insured with peter best.they have been good value so far.you get a voice on the end of the phone and they dont freak out at modified cars. i think its about a 25 percent hike in price.

Got the Tiv insured with Manning....were insanely cheap (as cheap as legalised robbery can get anyway) but for the BX I went with Swiftcover, as they were very cheap for what is a full car policy, not classic. Happy days!
