frozen door tip

I've strugggled getting my doors open in the morning during this cold snap as I know others have, I've been told a smearing of vaseline on the door seals will stop the doors freezing shut.

Thanks i'll try that doors were frozen shut yesterday morning on the Green Hornet and i wanted to move it but could not get into it.

Also, if you cant get the key to work, you can always pee on the door lock, this usually makes it work.

I find a kettle of warm water works well - and you won't get arrested

I find that in these temperatures I get the 'peeing through a pepperpot' syndrome, so I'd get one stream down the door, one down the wing, one down the passer by and the rest down my trouser leg…that's if I can find it at all!

I get like that after about 18 pints, mind you, i usually cant see where nor care where its going by then .

make sure the door is unlocked before you try force it open - happened to me, Mrs left the car unlocked, i went to unlock it in the morning and inadvertantly locked it
