Who has the newest BX on the forum?

Post by kiwi »

Following on from the L reg thread

Who has the most recently registered for Road Use BX...NOT how long have you owned one.

Start the ball rolling 19TZS May 1993 anyone later than that?

I know there is a 1995 registered one, but I'll leave the man himself to proudly point that one out!

or, when the components were manufactured? I often wonder about that.

I wonder who's got the oldest BX then. Mine's from 1987 E reg, but that's an early Mk2 AIUI. Who's got a Mk1 on the road?

Mine a 85 C MK1, its sorned at the moment for winter, the eldest I know off are Phil Greaves' A reg 16TRS and Jon Self (Citroenboi) A reg 14E which is undergoing some major restoration work at Chevronics. I dont think either of them are currently in use.

Let's go on build date. What's the RP number is the big question.

The van is 6161 which comes out as 21 September 93.

The RP or ORGA is a four digit number usually on the left hand front door pillar of a BX and can easily be found in an internet search.

My TRD was first registered in August 1985 and currently on the road, though only for a week or so until its TÜV expires.

Anything from the 90s sounds modern to me! I had to drive a new Audi today after its owner dislocated his shoulder on this morning's skiing outing and I had to drive us all home. I couldn't even get the thing started to go and collect him from the hospital! Things have moved on a bit since 1985. I felt like a stone age man in that thing.

P.S I'm intrigued what had to be deleted. Was it a Wikileaks scenario?

Nothing exciting, ''download the book'' from this page then scroll down to page 62 for the ORGA no. chart.

I really need to get back into this BX game. Once the Vel Satis sells I promise I will rejoin you guys - I've missed BX-ing.
