I've contacted the seller and I hope to be able to get this one. Just what I'm looking for.

I had an e-mail this morning offering me a reasonable amount for the GTi.

It's sort of a no-brainer.

Ideal car for the Challenge2012.

SWMBO on board with a diesel BX. When I pointed out it would save the equivalent of 14.5 decent pairs of shoes a year in fuel.

(Or words to that effect).

I hope I 'got in' soon enough.

I would hope so! nice bargains like this are usually snapped up quickly, it's only the overpriced or wrongly described ones that hang about for ages without selling.

Apparently the guy who bought it was into BXs. Don't know any more than that but he moved very quickly. Saw it, bought it, drove off in it.
