FS: BX TD, Glos

Post by BX4X4X2 »

Hi, customer of ours has decided to part with his `88 F BX DTR Turbo saloon.
Car is tidy, in silver with black GTi interior, good rear 1/4 windows, done 165,000mls, MOT`d til Jan no tax. Has had plenty of work done to it - recent clutch cable, radiator and plenty more.
It has got a few issues radiator hoses are weaping a bit, heater fan works on full only and the starter doesn`t always work straight away.
He`s owned the car for 14yrs and has lots of paperwork to go with it.

He`d like £350 but will be open to offers.

Anyone interseted let me know and I`ll pass on contact number. Car is in Gloucester.

Hi, this BX is still available, the owner just emailed me this:

Hello.
I am convinced now to sell the BX due to the fact I am cycling more in my leisure time & does not warrent having the two vehicles.By selling the BX it will help maintainance costs due for the Xantia.
If you would not mind, the vehicle is in good all round condition with MOT until 30/10/11 though declared SORN.It has many recent new parts such as radiator, heater matrix, battery,& reconditioned starter& alternator. It has been kept & maintained well by myself over the last 14 years & has accrued a good service history.
This is if anyone should contact you looking for such a vehicle, priced at £350 ovno.
Many thanks

He`s a decent sort so if anyones seriously interested let me know and I`ll pass on his number to you. (He`s been a long term customer and I wouldn`t want him messed about.)

I'd be quite interested, but I do need to sell my Saab first. Which I haven't even started doing yet. Any pics?

Hi, I`ll see what I can do about some pictures.
The problems are leaky water hoses - may need new or just tightening, I`ve not had much of a look.
Heater fan may need new resistor pack or control panel.
Starting maybe down to lack of use or a dodgy wire between the switch and solenoid, all the big bits have been done.

Cheers

The starting is most likely down to the contacts on the relay to be found mounted on the n/s/f inner wing just in front of the air filter.
Mines been getting bad lately and yesterday it left me stranded, luckily I was parked 200 yards from home, so out with the WD and now all's well again :D
