BX legends

Post by Philip Chidlow »

OK, we have experienced a lot in our BXs and some are remembered amongst us.

I suggest maybe a 'rogues gallery' of 'known/infamous' BXs.

Obviously I count ones that I have had (as they're the ones I know most about) but here are a few to get the ball rolling:

The Green Hornet.
'RLO'
Todd's yellow estate
Team 'Green Tiger's' estate
Tim's GT
'ELF'
The 'Ascot Valver'

ELF still goes on.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I'm not sure my TRS Auto is a legend, but I think it's certainly passed though a few member's hands...

(sounds wrong, but I can't think how to make it sound better, so I'll leave it... :) )

It\'s touched :P

Suppose it has been through a fair bit over the years what with the blow-up, TV show, rebuilds etc.

I\'m probably one of the longer running 16v owners with the same car. It\'ll be 7 years this year. I must be mental!

I\'d nominate the estate. It hasn\'t been on the road for years now, but it packed more into a couple of years than most cars do in a lifetime

Quite a few of our members have met my "Monica".

Generally well-behaved (for the last 5 years), so she doesn't hit the BXC headlines as often as some!

(1992 BX TXD 17TD hatch, in dark-blue, a good 10-footer......for those who havn't had the pleasure!)

Todd's TRD Mk1 is pretty legendary in my book, especially with the lovely accessories it wears.

Seconded! A frozen example of the 80s. I love it.
