correct spark plugs?

Post by maxgreenwood »

I've been given Bosch FR 7 DC+ spark plugs for my 16 petrol by my local motor factors. I'm not sure they're the right ones and have since heard NGK ones are probably better, i've had no luck cross referencing that code with codes in Haynes etc. Does anyone know if these are suitable? I'm new to this spark plug thing!

Small tip for referance mainly

Dont use Champion Spark Plugs

Nothing wrong with the spark plugs except they have a soft core, so that if you do accidentally (and more likely actually) to break one you may end up with bits in your cylinders.

This is how I got my TRS, broken tip spark plug in the cylinder it was just luck and a few weeks "fishing" that retrived it and gave that BX several more years of life.

the gap on these Bosch plugs is factory 0.9mm - Haynes says 0.6-0.8mm.

Does it make any difference?

I have a feeler guage
