New boots for Monica!

Today I decided to treat Monica to four new tyres, so that I can refit the Speedlines, and stick the battered old steelies back in the shed.
Part worn (at least 5mm), 195/60/14s, 2 x Michel;in, 2 x Energy.......including rebalancing and new valves.....£60 !!

She should be in fine fettle by the time Wetherby comes around.

Sounds like a bargain to me Dave. By my local tyre place, just turning up seems to cost €50, though it's a very amusing father and son team operating out of an old barn.

rather more appealling than the £3K it'll cost me to stick 6 shiny new Michelens on 132 then..

yeah, but it'll do 83MPH, and you just never know the history of a part worn tyre, ya know, I happen to know how bad some bus drivers are!
Not so bad if you have a blow out on the back, but on the front, at speed, a 9 tonne Lance is VERY hard to control, I know this, I destroyed a length of motorway once!
