Might be nothing more simple than the hose becoming perished but still concerning incase could be something else.
After doing a five hour drive I noted the smell of oil and on investigation found that small quantity of oil had sprayed out from the rocker cover breather hose.
Besides the obvious of a blocked breather which this hose is clear btw and maybe small leak caused by perished hose ( I cut a cracked bit off and refitted.
Anything else could have missed?
