It's a long way off.
2012 CCC National Rally, I mean.
I'm not sure if the fact the ICCCR is happening a month afterwards means it won't happen (I hope that it will), but 2012 is the 30th Anniversary of the BX.
BX's had registration letters running from 'A' all the way to 'M' (and there's even an 'N' we know of ).
I would be nice to have a display of a BXs from each year at the Rally with A,B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, (N) registrations along with ephemera from those years displayed with the cars. And what's handy is I could do a calendar with one year's worth of BX for every month (A-M, that is) for 2013

Hmm I doubt there will be one to be honest Phil, as its so near, it may be down to myself to organise it as this year and I would vote to make the ICCR the "National" get together time. But a great idea to get a BX of every year there.
I can help out with a "C" or "G" If required (the TZi is on a private number)
The later cars wont be a problem (anyone got a M plate?) but getting a Mk1 "B" or a Mk2 "D" could be interesting!! I know of a couple of A platers that will be attending.

I will hopefully have my "E" there, but I've said that before

its been talked about lots of times, but never anything sorted so using the CCC events is soemthing "concrete"Philip Chidlow wrote:It's just a thought. Maybe collectively, the BX Club should finally decide to pull it's finger out and organise a gathering apart from the CCC one(s)?

Would it be possible to do a '30 years of the BX' type thing at the ICCCR? or do you have to be driving something 'pre-PSA' to get taken seriously? Either way I think we should definitely find a way to push the boat out a bit or BXs' will be the clattery poor relation forever!
( there's a 'J' plate here more than happy to make a contribution!)

True, but you can have a day pass which isnt too bad, admittidly twice the price of a "normal" CCC national but probably about 5 times as good! The day rates havent been confirmed as yet. Kids under 16 go free too.docchevron wrote:I guess the drawback for the ICCR over a usual national rally is the cost of getting in?

Seriously though, your enjoyment of it depends on what you go there for. For some people it's mainly about the cars, for me it's the opportunity to meet like minded people, some of whom I know already but also to meet others for the first time. The cars are just a side benefit.
