Post by rodney68 »

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

also depends if the holes are above the box section,

they will most likely be at the spot weld points were the floor skin is welded to the box section,

in which case you wont get at them from underneath,

can take a pic but would have to email it to someone cos as soon as i put pics on my computer they go to kodak then its a hell of a job to get them to photoshop, holes are the seat side of the subframe boltholes if u stand at back of car and look forward,my plan was to cut rust out and weld fresh metal in,box where the bolt goes in is solid and can weld up to it no problem just worried if any pipes close to floor in this area

the hydraulic pipes cross from the N.S to the O/S just to the rear face of the sub frame cross tube,

the plastic fuel tank is just forward of the sub frame though,

so it wouldnt hurt to get under to make sure/keep an eye on things whilst the welding is being done,

i would either lower the fuel tank or try and slide a small sheet of tin between the tank, subframe and floor,
