Spotted this earlier today... eBay link
It turns out that I (sort of) know the guy who bought it, and am going to have a look at it tomorrow. It might not get broken... But if it is as bad as he says, it is only fit for scrap. Had a chat on the phone with him earlier, and it should yield many good spares if it does go, and he's a reasonable guy price wise... Let me know if there's anything anybody wants off it. I can take a look tomorrow.
Valver for spares on eBay...

Just been to have a look around it and, it is particularly rotten underneath, and it looks quite scruffy. Not beyond saving... but in my honest opinion not worth it. Although actually quite good in some of the usual BX rust spots...
The front drivers door is not the original. The actual panel has been resprayed and seems okay, but the black top half doesn't match and is all scratched. The rubbing strip is in the boot.
Rear and passenger doors are all solid with a couple of little marks, but nothing major, but there are a few spots where the black frames have warn through to primer.
He has updated the listing... and I now have a few spares, but I will be going back as soon as he starts properly taking it apart, as it is now, it is still a whole car... and he'd like to get it all stripped in one go, not to upset the neighbours
He said I can earmark what I need/want, he can sell bits to various people, and then I'll come and grab everything else I can take before the shell gets weighed in, although it's unlikely I'll have the time to remove the skirts, so if anyone else wants them, shout now
Both the front wings and bumper are absolutely mint, I actually think it has had a smack at the front and it has all been resprayed, and done well too.ken newbold wrote:Hi Matt, I've sent him a message about the paint code, could you check out the condition of the front doors, n/s rear door and n/s front wing and possibly front bumper as well.
Many thanks Ken
