New job forces very reluctant sale
Well guys/girls after much fingernail biting and pacing up and down ive decided to clear out most of my fleet which will include as follows
BX RD Turbo for restoration, white
BX GTI 4x4 Lovely condition, silver, with aircon.
BX 16RS Estate LHD, Italian market , white ,Superb.
BX 19 TRS For restoration ,cream
BX 1.9D Millesime, LHD French spec Grey metalic. Lovely.
BX 19TGD ,red ,fit only for spares.
I cant bring myself to part with a few of them and indeed will still be running a bX as everyday transport but thought i would give you guys the 1st refusal as many go on Ebay tonight.
A new business venture has turned up and i just wont have time or spare cash to sort them/look after them .
Richard.

I asked Richard for first dibs on the 4x4 last week, when neither of us had any idea he'd be selling it!
I've been after a good 4x4 for a while, but every one I've gone after has fallen through for some reason or another...
I don't know if I can manage it or not (Richard's decision to sell coincides exactly with my wife's decision to leave me, though not directly related...) but maybe we can work something out... maybe not.
I realise it's a popular car (amongst masochists anyway... ) and if I can't complete in a timely manner I'll bugger off out of the way and let someone else have a go.

Tim, this car was in the CCC for many years, surprised nobdy knows it. It has full length webasto and Meteor/gti style interior.
Things that i know are needing doing-
Inner wings need usual patching
exhaust blowing
leaking rear pipe
broken headlamp.
Looks ok underneath, body pretty good. Runs ,stops but been standing a while.
I started sorting it out but then got sidetracked with other stuff.
Theres probably alot more to do for test but rear arms seem ok. Ive never seen another with full length webasto?Oh its got a towbar too.
Richard.
ps, only downsizing collection briefly (i hope) once things are up and running i hope to be back on form .

Richard,
what is the new venture? I'm being nosy, you see, but also want to wish you luck with it too.

only one thing stopped me too - but mine is a 46k miles 16TGS - otherwise, I could have relived my yoof as my first BX was a blue/grey 17RD - albeit with power steering. I never found it slow once wound up.Roverman wrote:Just one thing stopping me on that point, the £500! and to be honest I would like a T/D.messerschmitt owner wrote:Buy the £500 one then.Roverman wrote:Ok no worries, I am after a diesel to basically get in and drive, thanks anyway.

I have 3 BX's all of which are different but I love them, and are probably some of the nicest examples left, I just dont get chance to drive them that much, and it would mean another lot of Insurance, Tax, etc, and me being me would have to make it mint to be happy with it, I just havent got the time and it would mean renting ANOTHER garage .
