For sale very nearby yet another pensioner wagon for a paltry €220 because it's got - probably - a leaking strut return and a hole in the exhaust middle box. 117,000 kms, new spheres and a years' TÜV still to run. I love the look of it but I really can't..

LOVE the look of this. I've been planning on getting a BX again (a 14) for our road trip next year, and then keeping it, this looks just the ticket. I bet there are no 1.4 mk1's in the UK.
Does anyone know how the german car legality system works? From what I think I understand, I will need to go to a special registration office with the seller and buy Export plates (red bar on RHS) and these give insurance and tax for 14 days in all european contries? Then it will need MOT/tax/registering/insuring in the UK afterwards? Bit bloody complicated...
I will be passing by in a routemaster on our holidays in august (a rendition of summer holiday, but without the singing and with a bus full of screaming gays. Well there are some straight people), so could go and get myself a rather awsome BX.
Thanks all.

The link doesn't work anymore - I just checked the website. It's sold! Not surprising really. Someone got a bargain. It's funny how people panic the minute there's a drop of LHM on the floor. That could have been fixed and driven away with a set of red number plates..
I should look over on the German BX Club - I'm sure it will pop up there now!
Managed to link to the pics anyway.
