BX Parts for sale.

Post by spanners »

Okay, so this is what I've managed to uncover to date.....

Set genuine Citroen rear discs.
2 sets Eurorepar front pads.
Pair of antirollbar drop links-one genuine, other not sure.
Set of genuine Citroen wishbone bushes.
3 genuine Citroen diesel fuel filters-Lucas type.
Aftermarket head set.
Main reservoir return pipes part number 96119048.

Used parts:

Pair of headlamps.
Pair of late "smoked" rear lamps.
2 pairs front indicators.
Pair side repeaters.
Heater motor and resistor.
Sunroof motor.
ABS ECU.
Roof "console".
Dash binacle.
NSF wing in metalic green.
Front bumper from 91 TZD in metalic green with some light scuffs, spoiler and broken foglamps.
Wiper switch and some other switches and sundries.

All bits were taken from/accrued for '92/'92 BX TZD hatch.

Offers on all or whatever you want from it all but parts would have to be collected I'm afraid as I never seem able to get to the Post Office and some of the bits are rather heavy too!

There'll probably be more stuff appear as I get to the various corners of the shit-hole that I like to call my garage...............!

I'd like the wishbone bits - but whereabouts are you, and would they fit a 14?

Hi Scarecrow, I believe they fit all models but don't quote me on that!

I'm in Longbridge, Birmingham.

I've also discovered a new "poverty spec" manual adusting passenger door mirror which I believe to be brand new, a tailgate catch and lock solenoid (I could've done with that the other year when mine froze and broke in the snow!) and some genuine Citroen workshop manuals:

Technical bulletins (2 binders)
Mechanics 1 & 2
Bodywork
Mechanical components 2.

The wishbone bushes should fit a 14 no problems.

I wouldn't mind the drop links but I almost never come to Brum :(

Me neither - but I was wondering if something could be organised around Stratford?

I can see I'm gonna have to concede and not be so bloody lazy and go to the post office at some point!

Although these bits don't take up a huge amount of space, I really need to try and shift my clutter as I need to get on with the restoration of Mrs Spanners 2CV which has been ongoing since 1998* and she would like me to get it done!

So, I will post some of the smaller items.

Alternatively, over the next month, I'll be going to Swindon and Norfolk (Snetterton for the 2CV 24hr race) and can take parts with me if that helps anybody?

We also have people on our team from Chichester, East Anglia, Hereford, Chester area and Nottingham that I may be able to send off with bits if that helps anybody?

Failing that, assuming I'm not doing anyhting else, I can obviously take stuff to Stratford as it's just down the road.

*There's a long story that accompanies Mrs Spanners 2CV restoration and it actually isn't my fault-never trust a best mates Godfather to get anything done!

Found the original calipers now too!

If anybody wants any of the parts, make me an offer please-by PM if you prefer.

I'm gonna have a little chat with my mate who runs what is to all intents and purposes a mail order company and see if he can sort me out with some handy postal services......

Scarecrow, the bushes are in a Jiffy-envelope, make me an offer and give me your address.

Likewise Ken for the droplinks and Grenman for the fuel filters. MikeP, make me an offer on the manuals and they're here when you next come to Brum assuming that's not going to be about 2 years away?

Also got a load of XM workshop manuals (genuine Citroen jobbies) if anyone here is interested?

Cheers, Jon.

Feel free to make med an offer on it all, please do.

PM is probably best. I'm not looking for silly money for it, let's put it that way......

Oh, there's a pair of cooling fans for a TZD turbo and a near new air filter to turbo air pipe assembly too.

Sorry to anyone/everyone that's been in touch, I've been off the radar for a while with computer issues and the small matter of the 2CV 24 hour race last weekend!

I'll be going to Stratford next weekend for the Midland Section CCC shindig (only on the Sunday though) and will be taking all these bits along (along with some other stuff for modern-ish stuff) so if you want owt, let me know (with offers that make it worth my while venturing into my garage/taking stuff out of boxes) or it'll be available next Sunday.

Cheers.

Oh, I'll be in a blue Ami 8 estate if you're looking.
