Pressure regluator required

Has anybody out there got a working pressure regulator to replace mine which is no longer giving pressure or doing much regulating? really annoying has it has waited until a week after the MOT to give up the ghost!! Alternatively, are they repairable?

why do you think its the regulator failed what are the symtons

Hi Malcolm,

Quantity of LHM around the regulator/accumulator sphere and the pump clicking every 2 to 5 seconds, especially when braking!!

Happy to take suggestions as to other causes.

Thats probably the accumalator sphere itself.

as Defender110 says,

acumalator sphere is the first thing to try with short click/tick intervale's,

if the sphere is out or low on gas there is no buffer for the regulator, so it cuts in and out more than it should, the less gas in the sphere the more it click's/tick's,

this can also cause leak's,

Thanks for the advice guys, new sphere ordered and should be fitted early next week.

make sure you smear the seal matting face with citro blood ( LHM ) before fitting the new sphere,

New accumulator sphere fitted and clicking issue resolved, thanks again guys, now I have a bloody return pipe broken and need to find out which one, more digging around the Octopussy to see where the thin clear plastic pipe has come from !!!!!

Thin clear pipes have nothing to do with the octopus.

If it's the one that goes into the offside wing, it should go nowhere as it's just a breather.

If you have leaks and if it's the one that goes the other direction, it comes from the security valve with a T down in the subframe from the pressure regulator. (leak if from security valve is likely to be the rubber joiner between valve and clear plastic.)

as all the plastic pipes are just push/plug in fit,
