Free bx

My bx is at bullwinkles.
At the weekend it had major hydrolic failer.
Ive now got another car. To fix bullwikle said it would be 500 to 600 pound. The main pipe has burst. Its leaking really bad at the back.
Theres still mot and tax on it. But it needs to be towed

I DID TRY MY BEST I THE BX GAME.
I drove it up to london at the weekend. It was superb driving it was. But on the way back down it went on the motor way. The warning lights came on.
Bullwikle said its to do with the metal pipe at the back end.
I thought the pipes was rubber

Dont phone bullwikles and piss him off pm me first. I have to tell him tomo that i have bought another car. I got a laguna 1.8 16valve on a 51 plate 1495.
I was desprate needed it for work.
Had to transfer moye on my credict card to my account Becase i couldnt get a loan

I did try i had 2 of them. The really bad thing was the bx was nearly done. There was 2 holes in the bot filled one of them up. Then theres one more in the back of it on the right.

We did the paint work on it. Looked alot better. It drove superb really fast it was. Dispite the shaky engine at the start. It sounded like new when it was warm and going.

It was nearly there the only thing what diddnt work isthe rev counter. All the electrics work fine.
The suspension went up and down really fast.
The only thing on the sterring is the belt needed tighning on it. And that was it.
Compered to the black one i had it was so much better

I'm glad you've got a petrol Laguna. The diesel ones of that age would definitely put you off French cars for life!

its funny u say that. Just been chatting to a mate on fb. He said the dci are crap
Bullwinkles said he was trying to get rid of the cars he had. So it doesnt look good it doesnt. If no one borthers with it then he prob scrap it.

Like i said i not told him i got a new ar yet i think hes ok keeping it for a week or so but thats it.

There's various dci engines, so which one did he think was crap? From what i've read the 1.5's seem the best, followed by the 1.9 & so on.

he just said the eat turbos. Hes had tones of cars he works at auctions.
I hope this new one give me luck. There was a c5 next to it but it seemed to big 1.8 petrol.

Turbo eating is less to do with the engine but the stupidly long service intervals which can cause this. I believe those in the know always change the oil more regularly than the service intervals suggest.

Well i phoned up bullwikles and asked him about the bx. He said its bad. Then i said is it the octopus. He then said its worst then that.
So if you guys know ya bxes whats worst then the octopus to go ?

Can you get a clear description of the problems he says your BX now has so we can either help you get it fixed or give us an idea to how much work someone will need to do to get it mobile.

Everything can be fixed - you're not getting much help from the garage by them saying 'it's bad' - 'it's worse than that' etc..

I'd be inclined to agree with Adrian, not that i'm a cynic but telling someone who's a little naive that it's "knackered" isn't very helpful!

I would suggest that you want whatever is the value for collected scrap locally if you do leave it with them. If they don't offer you this, remember it's still your car.

He was probably given one but I don't think we're going to get one without speaking to Bullwinkles

who by the way were desperately trying to get rid of scrap BX's a few weeks ago not collect them. I'm sure they would be very happy to repair this and get it out of their way rather than end up stuck with it.
