CCC at the Classic Motor Show - NEC.

Post by Paul296 »

I visited the Classic Motor Show at Birmingham NEC today and discovered that besides Citroen, one or two other people had been busy building motor cars over the years - some of which were quite nice! Here's some pics of the Citroen stand and a few of my other favourites . . .

The burgundy Ford Consul Capri had been 'gentrified' by Hoopers the coachbuilder - I never thought I'd start to dribble in the presence of a Ford! Magnificent, as where the Maseratis, Karmann Ghias, P1800s etc. etc. . . So little money and so much avarice makes for a great deal of discomfort I find. Bought two Cit brochures though - 4 quid.

edit; Saw another BX as I was about to leave - a silver one. Anyone here?

You might have seen my BX in the car park if you were there on Saturday (Which I've just noticed you weren't), and I stripped one of the brochure sellers of their BX inventory, all Mark 1 stuff

Did anybody else pass the Yugo Club stand

You must have stripped out ALL the BX brochures - there wasn't one! I did have a wonder round the Yugo/Zastava club stand as it happens. I figure other peoples cars are like other peoples babies; you can see they're right old plugs - but they love'em! :D
