I can not remember if the starter motor differant types are interchangable or not.
My plan is to remove the 19TRS and install it into the 19TZS. But the look differant in so much as the starter motor solenoids are attached differantly therefore either Ducellier, Paris-Rhone or Bosch.
I have used the starter in the 19TRS from a 16RS but they were the same in configuration. Its just that solenoid bit thats differant on the TZS thats making me ask before swapping.

As far as I remember the only real difference is between those for petrols and those for diesels – diesels have a reduction gear for more starting torque. I think you can use a diesel one in a petrol, but if you try using a petrol one in a diesel it will really struggle to turn it over (I tried fitting a 16TRS starter to a TZD and it fitted fine but woudn't start the car).

Its Petrol to Petrol!
But thanks though for the advanced warning for when the Diesel one goes. Some reason I was under the impression is if its differant it wont work. Not sure why buut guess I will find out soon enough when I do the swap over the christmas period. The TZS starter is getting lazy so now could be the time.
