GT paint job-change of direction

Well as I'm not here that often,, so just thought I'd storm the forum..

In the process of completing the matt black paint job on the GT, the project took an unexpected and surprising turn.

Whilst I was quite happy with the look of the matt black effect, I found it really difficult to get a good flat finish on the big horizontal surfaces (bonnet and roof). So there was a lot of rubbing back involved which then left the finish a little bit uneven. so I thought before embarking on another coat or two of paint I'd try some Turtle Wax "Colour Back" polish.. (A coloured polish which in this case was black..)

Well shy of the expected result, the matt paint was no longer...as it was now deep black high gloss.!! Not what I was really looking for BUT, it actually looks great..and suits the car nicely...best part is that I now have an almost professional looking paint job on the whole car..All for around 80 quid...

I don't mind a bit of matt black, as long as it's not allied to slammed suspension or fake rat look.

Your £80 paint job sounds ace though! Another demand for pictures.

I am a student/professional photographer ..its amazing how tricky it is to just post some "snaps"...but i will try....

Sorry guys ..its not the tech problems uploading..but more so my pedantic need to take some quality shots befit of of a demi professional photographer!!

Its a pride thing....so will put the Canon 5d mk11 aside and shoot with my phone...then i wont feel compelled to justify photographic quality!!!

Leave your pride out of it! I'm allegedly a pro-photographer (well, I get quite a lot of pictures printed in the media) but have no qualms about posting quick snaps of my cars for forum use.
