Wanted - near side front window and steering column shroud

Post by crb »

 some f&^%$ing scrote tried stealing my meteor last night

Passenger side front window has gone and the lower shroud of the steering column is a bit broken. Can anyone tell me how much like hens teeth they are? or if anyone has some I can purchase / clues as to where to get replacements.

Will Autoglass do the side window?

Thanks for your help
Colin

It's unlikely Autoglass will entertain the window but it wouldn't hurt to try! Your best bet is to get one off one of the boys on here along with the shroud which should be plentiful.

If you're stuck for fitting the window i don't mind popping up.
I have zero patience for your tedium.

I have the window and a spare (black) shroud. What colour do you need? If you want to PM me an offer that would be fine. I won't be able to remove until next week though, so if someone else has the bits to hand now then you may as well go for them.

Dear Colin.
Sorry to hear about your BX Colin, Did they just smash the
window :?: or did they damage the paintwork aswell :?:
It might be worth putting some warning stickers on the front
windows and fitting a flashing led warning lamp where it can be easily
seen  Or fitting an immobiliser, they usually work.
I fitted an immobilser to my SAAB when I first got it 13 years ago,
and nobody has even tried to pinch it :) despite it being high on a scrap
mans list, because they weigh so much :!:
I shall be fitting one to the BX TXi when I find the right model of
immobiliser
I hope this helps Colin.

Hi All,
RxBX has kindly sold me a shroud and my local Citroen specialist has a window from a door in his back yard so parts are sorted cheers. No other damage done.

Just need to chat up JayW to help with fitting :D Better get plenty of milk in.

Windows are quite easy really, just make sure you get all the old glass out first.
