Well i managed to collect the BX from its previous owner without a hitch last week. Drove the 90 miles home faultlessly apart from the blowing exhaust. All electrics and suspension working as they should.
The car is now at my local garage where my tame mechanic is fitting a new centre silencer and intermediate pipe as well as realigning the front pipe to the manifold. He will then service it and check it over for me. After that it is off to the local Citroen specialist, a past customer of mine,for a suspension 'health check' including an LHM change.
When it returns i shall set to with the 3M Finesse-it in an attempt to restore a shine to the paintwork.
