Made a start on painting the wheels this evening. It looks a bit naked without the lacquer but tidy enough. It'll be along time before I refurbish another set of alloys - at least ones that were that bolloxed in the first place! :shock:

Image

I received a bunch of brochures today that I picked up off German ebay for a couple of quid. The one with ^ those wheels I (erroneously) thought was the 'BX Prospekt' - turns out 'prospekt is the German word for 'brochure' :oops: The other is the BX 'Top' - which I assume is the German word for. . . er. . . 'top'?

Image

I might compile a list of every BX 'limited edition' that there ever was in the world ever. Alternatively, I might just get a life. :D

In other news (as Mat F would say), I came up with some T-shirt designs recently (I think someone mentioned it on another thread somewhere and I thought it was a jolly good idea). Anyway, I've posted them up to see if any one would be interested in buying one before I start the ball rolling getting some priced/printed up;

I assume the French is right - not being much of a polyglot n' all? Tim said he'd be interested - so that's two! :D

(Oh and I nicked Phil's BXC banner - hope you don't mind Phil?)

Last month alone you used it 714 times. In other news, I might have just made that up. :D

@ Kevan, Apart from my Hurricane speedlines - which 'I've started so I'll finish', my enthusiasm for refurbishing alloy wheels has diminished a bit of late (can't think why!). I'll let you know when it returns. Oh and I also discovered the etch primer I use (U-Pol #8 Etch) is chromate free, I would guess most modern etch primers are.

@Tom, That link said the site couldn't be found (?)

You can join the queue on the wheels Kevan, I'm the founder member of the Paul's wheels fan club :D

T-shirts: I like the design, but not sure about all that white - wondering how would it look with that big square white block as a transparent background and the 30ème anniversaire (pretty sure that there is a grave accent on the first e) and the BX graphic in black?

I know the feeling. I've done a couple of sets of Speedlines, and it just takes so long! I think I'm going to get a set of Speedlines professionally powder coated with a diamond cut rim.

That sounds like a very good idea! What is powder coating exactly?

@Tom, I found that site; I liked it! 8)

I'll have a play around with the t-shirt design and come up with some alternatives. If anyone's got any good ideas let me know.

Loving the T-Shirts. Can we have a vee-neck option? lol

(Of course I don't mind the graphics being used. In fact if you send me your files I can create hi resolution versions for a t-shirt printer to use?)

Thanks Phil - that would be great. I'm hoping to get over to the printers sometime next week. If it all looks do-able I'll get on and make a high-res piece of art work that I can send over to you. Thanks again.
