Oil - quick and easy!

Post by stuart_hedges »

I'm going away for the weekend straight from work and I want to stop at Halfords and top up my oil before I go.

However, I forgot to look in the manual before I left the house this morning!

What grade of oil do I put in my BX19 TXD (non-turbo)?

Thanks!

Ideally the same one thats in there already. I expect Halfords will have a chart telling you. Citroen recommend Total Diesel 15W40.

Thanks! I don't trust Halfords charts any more, I've seen toooo many mistakes on them.

When I changed the oil we just put in standard multigrade!

15w40 or 15w50 mineral or s/syn diesel.

You can get away with 10w40 or 20w50 if needs be.

Halfords are doing 5 litres 10w40 semi synthetic for about £9,
good value and ideal for my BX.
