New arrival pending

Post by B-Hive » Sat Mar 31, 2012 2:06 pm

So I guess the obsession grows...

I have been offered and accepted (without question) a MK1 TRS manual.

Being a manual it is a quantum step ahead of my previous auto..

But here's where it gets exciting...60k miles original, immaculate/pristine body and interior, new clutch (apparently fitted un-necessarily), new clutch cable, air cond with new gas upgrade, light blue paintwork, alloys, new tyres...

How could I resist...this could potentially be one of the best original BX MK1 TRS available in the world..

"downside" an hydraulic leak from the PS Ram, and needs a few new spheres...it is 1200 km away ...but....that is it!!!

PLUS its a "give to good home.. free deal"

I'm one lucky boy

I have stuffed my knee so have had to delay collection..but I'll keep you all posted ....

very happy BXer

That is very exciting, and yes you lucky, lucky boy!

Now you've sufficiently whetted our picture-lusts, lets have 'em (when you can get them of course).

1200km, that's like 750 miles, which is almost the length of the UK!!!

1200 km might be the length oF Britain,, but here in Australia it not a huge distance...(doable in 10 hours) ...bonus is I get to add to my photographic folio on the journey..which will of course include shots of the BX on its tour to its new home

Well, I'll put another prawn on the barbie mate! 8) (everything I know about Australia I learned from Fosters lager adverts :D )

If someone was giving me a (more or less) up together Mk1 BX for nuthin' my dodgy knee (if I had one) would suddenly feel a whole lot better. Well done! Look forward to seeing some pics.

You're a very lucky man! I wish it had been closer to me! so good on you for travelling the distance and I'm glad the BX will be amongst others in a loving home.

Also if you decide to part with the pram handle spoiler, PLEASE! I would kill for one for my TZi! It's the right colour and all!

D'oh! WUF! WUF! Read 'em and weep - that is bloody lovely! 8) And picking it up for free? 'Lucky' is an understatement really. Did Oz spec Mk.1s have those baby walker spoilers is it a later addition?

I note it has the short nosed bonnet/grille arrangement which is normally only on Mk1 Autos! Probably to aid cooling with it having A/C and being in a warmer climate.

Look at those wheels too! 8)
