Another Road Test Pass

Post by kiwi »

Both my TXD and TZS were due for the Bi-annual (thats 6 month) check this week.

The TXD went in today leapfrogging the TZS thats now going in on Thursday after discovering a black smudge indicating a hole in the centre silencer of the exhaust.

Guess what it passed and this was the first BX the garage I know go to had done a check on. 8)

Timing comes around at the same time the goverment is discussing these 6 month tests an how to modify them or do away with them.

But knowing how this country works it will probably be several years and a few changes of goverment before the legislation gets changed.

19TZS went in today and despite my reservations of the exhaust it passed just.

Bit of gunk on the exhaust a fiddle with the notorious numberplate lights and yes it passed.

One thing I am working on at the moment is the high stop light that is not working for what ever reason.

So six more months of running for two of the three BXs, the third I have not decided on its fate but as it is not on the road not a worry.

Great news. Can't be bad for a couple of ageing cars of French origin!
