Hi Andrew

Was this car advertised last year?.

1 owner BX, thats a rare thing these days, great mileage too! Would love to see it make 300,000!

I have a couple of spare wiper motors, that water leak could be a blocked drain hole or a door seal most probably.

A very fair price too.

These early Mk2 diesels are all but extinct now, most were company hacks and did huge mileage in there first 3 years, so this has done very well to last 25 years.

If I had the space..........

Apparently theres a couple of Mk1 17RD's knocking about according to that, havent seen one of those for a long time. The Mk2 17/19RD was a very common site once, especially on a motorway!

Hello Tim,
Yes I did advertise last summer but then needed it. It once had
very high usage - think I racked up about 120k miles in 3 years.
You mentioned the water leak, I have checked all the drain holes I
know of. I then poured water on that ledge below the heater fan
and I got a trickle running down the left side of the passenger
footwell (there was some gunk in there which I cleaned out first), so I
guess thats why I thought it was a welding job.
If I had the space I might consider Sorning it when the tax runs out but
unfortunately its street parking for me.

HI, ANDREW,

I WAS INTERESTED IN YOUR AD FOR YOUR BX. HOWEVER, I DID A DVLA CHECK ON ITS STATUS, AND IT CAME UP AS A PETROL MODEL, NOT A DIESEL. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE AWARE OF THIS?

I HAD A BX 1.4 A YEAR OR TWO AGO AND REALLY LIKED IT. I'VE HAD FOUR CITROENS ALTOGETHER. ONE OF THEM WAS AN XM AUTO.

Yuo missed the Image bits, so here are the piccies. Looks quite good really for that mileage, a wit bit tatty but nothing a bit polishing and fettling wouldn't cure.

It does indeed come up as a petrol, but says 1769cc quite correctly. Could be a simple admin error. I owned an Austin A90 Westminster with a 2660cc engine a couple of years ago. That's the A90 Atlantic engine size which is only four cylinders!

Andrew, I might well be interested in this as I am in Scotchland how soon do you need it collected =- might take me a few weeks to oranise and a shiply won't be cost effective over that distance especially what with it being an oil burner!
