Got the TZD back from Malcolm today, head gasket sorted, timing belt done and water pump replaced along with the clutch and sundry other items.
He did a damned good job, i would recommend him to anyone.
A few other things to sort and i hope she will make a good motor. Going to need a TD bonnet though as the one fitted isnt the right one.
Will now really have to consider selling the n/a diesel Estate.
I would like to thank Malcolm[Citronut] for all his hard work and expertise in sorting her. He certainly knows his Citroens.
Why is a TD bonnet any different? There are short nose and long nose, the TD should have long nose like the one in your pic. Metal or GRP - luck of the draw on an L reg

Its the ducting underneath the bonnet thats different and i thought it would be easier to replace the bonnet completely with the correct type rather than try and find the said ducting etc. It has a bonnet that probably came off an n/a diesel.

done on her, and without any further problems too Andy I am so
chuffed for you Andy
I have spoken to Malcolm on the forum, But I haven,t met him face
to face yet. But to find someone, who knows alot about Citroens is
really nice, and to find someone who enjoys working on diesels is even
better And he seem a lovely chap too.

thanks for your kind words, yes, Malcolm certainly knows his stuff, just watching him put all the air ducting back together was like watching a masterclass!! Ive certainly learned a lot from him and a great guy too.
She is pretty fast, compared with the TGD which is a bit of a slug. Gets to to a good speed but just takes a while getting there.
