Ahem. This is the BLOG spot, not the DOG spot. For reasons of fairness, we're going to have to start a cat area... :p

Here are mine. . .
The very handsome Kaspar
Kaspar & Balthazar (Balth has just completed a game on the xBox)
Balthazar stretching
Both very handsome boys, Kaspar is a Norwegian Forest/Persian cross and Balthazar is Norwegian Forest/British Shorthair cross. My boys thought of the name Casper but I can't stand the cartoon so changed it to Kaspar. Kaspar is the name of one of the 3 wise men and Balthazar is another of the 3 wise men. I just need a third called Melchior now.

You've got a cat that can play on an Xbox!? You should cash that in. A dog just won 'Britains got Talent' for doing nothing more impressive than arsing around with a teenage girl (nice work if you can get it! )merlyn wrote: (Balth has just completed a game on the xBox)

Well not really, he wouldn't get a look in anyway, my 11yr old has the monopoly on that. I did see a video of a cat playing fruit ninja on an iPad though, it scored 128 if I remember correctly.Paul296 wrote:You've got a cat that can play on an Xbox!? You should cash that in. Re: Saw the Ben post...here's my boys.
Your two are very handsome Jane - mine are just moggies
Sathos - NINE?!!! I once got up to 5 (long story) and although I adored 'em all, it was still a leetle too much of a good thing. Three is a nice number for me.
Jenny - short for Jennyanydots. Adopted from the RSPCA in July 94 and was at least a year old then - so she's getting very fragile, scraggy and senile, but still lurrrrves me - and her food and tottering out into the garden when it's sunny, and occasionally will deign to bat at a piece of dangled string if she can remember what that's all about.
Molly - lost her first home, lost her buddy when adopted, returned by that family to the rescue place from where I took her home ... couldn't take her name off her as well. Beautiful and stupid and the sweetest natured cat I've ever known - she's not bitten or scratched me once in 8 years ... unlike the next one - a stray rescued from an acquaintance's garden -
BG - usually pronounced phonetically. Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde cat, furry purry cuddlebug one minute, then goes cross-eyed and bites me. He's naughty and makes me laugh - and has given me one of those "wouldn't believe it if it hadn't happened to me" lost & found cat stories (AWOL over a year).
And the other two -
Snowy - adopted Nov 94, RIP Jan 2009. It was just her and Jenny for a long time until Molly came onto the scene. She was semi-feral, but liked her home comforts as long as she was left alone - and had the biggest purr ever.
Rug - adopted summer 2004, RIP Feb 2011, too young, so sad - but she'd had a very hard life before coming to me and got several pampered years at least. Lovely sociable cat - used to sit behind me on the back of the sofa and knead my shoulders, I miss those massages (except when wearing sleeveless tops in summer, ow). BTW, what is it about long-haired cats that they love to do dead beetle impressions?

Re: Saw the Ben post...here's my boys.
This is Pebble. OM NOMS!
She likes to 'help' with the gardening.
A few years ago, we had a pair of Devon Rex cats. The black and white one, Pippin, was very daft. Not always appreciated by his brother Merry.
Sadly they both fell victim to cars at our last place. We also lost Pebble's sister there. Bad times!
