BX Club at the NEC - cars offered
Ok then. Let's have firm expressions of interest. Before you offer your car up, please note the following:
1) Your car needs to be at the NEC, Birmingham from Thursday evening through to Sunday evening. It cannot be removed during that time and the battery must be disconnected. (officially at least...)
2) You will need to make arrangements for accommodation/travel, though we might be able to sort something out as a joint venture nearer the time. It probably isn't going to be free!
3) Joe Public will be getting up close to the cars. While I'll do my utmost to prevent it, there is a chance that cars might get scratched. Please bear this in mind. BX Club will not be held responsible for any damage as it doesn't have any funds anyway! (the worst I've known in the 2CV club is one year where one 2CV had one wing scratched)
Please do not enter into any discussion in this thread - we've got one for that already. This is just for cars offered. As an example, giving real name, model and condition.
Dollywobbler - Ian - BX19RD Mk1 estate - ropey condition, but lots of character!

Quick bump for this. We've had enough cars offered but I'm keen to have options as well as back-up. A lot can happen between now and November!

Re: BX Club at the NEC - cars offered
No problems, just a note to all participants that the food at the NEC is neither tasty nor cheap so bring your own and the hotels around that area get booked up quickly and again are pricey, plus as we mentioned before once your cars on the stand its immobile until half past 5 on the Sunday so you need alternate transport (I made that mistake before).

Matthew Hayward - White Phase 1 16v - G574 VOT
As it stands I can offer my white one, which may well have been welded and partially resprayed by November, so it should look topps... The grey one may or may not be legal, so can't commit with that one just yet.

Re: BX Club at the NEC - cars offered
That would be a good contrast to the Mk1 estate! I was toying with the idea of offering mine (logistics aside) as a contrast because it has quite an unusual spec., but I feel mine is probably too tatty to be of much interest in one respect, yet not ropy enough to make it interesting in another!

It would Mat.
Your BX falls in the same category as my Mk2 estate I think, as you sum up very nicely!
