That car's made an appearance on here somewhere - those very pictures I think. Looks like a good 'un to me.

That is correct Paul !

(K730 PHR), It belongs to Jonathans father, as discussed in THIS thread

Rob, I would think it should be a good-one !

Ah hah! Richard - if anyone knew where they were, you would! :D Very useful thread to have a read through for anyone interested in the car - like 'ragger' for instance.

Much as prices may have been on the "up" of late - but look at the cars that have been making them - £950 would be way out of the league for what I would be prepared to pay for a BX with 160k on it. It does seem from the threads/advert that the biggest jobs have been done, but it is the whole car that has done those miles and the whole car takes the wear and tear.

I am keen to have another "bigger" Citroen to join the deusch but what I do get will have to replace my Saab 2.3t for longer distance journeys so needs to be capable, reliable and comfortable.

Anyway, going for a look tomorrow.

Given the location, you could be right Kevan. But TZDs - even well loved ones - are starting to go for silly money - didn't the "notorious" one end up finishing at £800-odd?

Hope it's as good as it looks and you do get a good deal ragger :)

I went and had a good look at this today, and very nearly did a deal to buy it at a price I considered to be reasonable, but in the end I decided that it wasn't quite what I was looking for. The vendor seems a very genuine guy who would like the car to go where it will be appreciated.

For anyone wanting a turbo diesel that has had the major mechanical issues addressed it is well worth a look. Have to say I was impressed with the performance, given that it was the first one of these I have driven.

I was gobsmacked to see it go so for so little TBH, perhaps location? - after all I paid 700 for mine which probably needed more doing to it and others have been going for around that too ...

I think that went for way under what it was worth - that's ebay for you. If I was selling a BX I'd stick it on car and classic, it seems to attract a more 'serious' - and wealthy - clientèle. Although to be fair those sort of buyers tend to be after mint low milers. It might be that until BX numbers really drop of - say below 500 - there'll continue to be big price discrepancies between low mileage minters and those that need work to get them straight, and if they've been round the block a few times there's not much you can do about that is there?

Re-listed on E-BAY (Yes, I know) its has been SPOTTED/POSTED, As that's what made me update this post/thread, so as to keep its history movements in one place

However, since Jonathan_Dyane's father sold it, its lost its Speed-line alloy's 8)
