I was tempted to take a picture when we were jumpstarting it at some unearthly hour...!

That'll teach me to keep the door open all day - with all seven courtesy lights blazing lol! It's all fine now

The jump starting wasn't at an ungodly hour. The 'I'd better make sure it starts again' the following morning was!

Well it was pitch black and felt late!
I can still picture Phil appearing out of the darkness..."Has anyone got any jumpleads?"...

Aye. T'was a good laugh! Late night jump starting. A new trend?
Phil - you're ok mate, though a couple of minutes more and I would have had to get out of the tent. It was pretty fumey!

Don't know why it decided to take up smoking. It does puff a little smog out the back when the go pedal is used enthusiastically or when pulling off (oi, behave!)... but not as much sh1t as an 08 plate Mondeo TDCi will.
Didn't mean to gas you.
Next time I'll park the other way round.

Slightly O/T how much soot should a 140k mile XUD9 turbo diesel kick out? From what I've heard I shouldn't worry too much - there's not a layer of black over the rear of the bus yet!

At one point yesterday, the TXD pumped out so much smoke/soot that the car behind swerved! They do belt out a fair bit of it, especially the turbos. Used to use my 306 DTurbo like a smoke machine when dealing with tailgaters. Simply potter about in town for a while and then give it some welly. Great fun.
