You could replace the broken engine with a 1.7 na diesel - the opposite of a Q car, more like a Y car.

I'd love to put a valver/ mi16 motor in a bog standard looking BX estate. Ultimate Q car. Blast the yoofs away at the traffic Grand Prix!!

All being well I should be speaking to the owner on Sunday morning and getting some photos, will share the details once received.

Have now spoken with the owner and the details are as per Tim's first post. The car was put in the garage all those years ago and has had nothing done to it since that day.

I am off to view the car on Wednesday evening.

Judging by the photos below the signs are promising with regards to the bodywork, what the mechanicals are like is the critical point.

Are they recent pics then? Looks alright but I wonder how he got it out of the garage if it doesn't run? Bit of pushing perhaps? I suppose if the garage is flat and the brakes are not stuck it could be rolled in and out..
