Nice. Makes me want to revisit. Anyone else interested? If so I shall make arrangements... although I can't promise anything before early 2014 - it's apparently quite 'booked up'.... I would like to arrange something with Citroen themselves that would also allow us to visit Rennes La Jenais - the factory where the BX was built...

I would DEFINITELY be interested in a pilgrimage to that place. If every Moslem has to make it to Mecca at least once in their lifetime, it should be the law that every Citroeniste has to go there! :D

I'm well up for that!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

OK. I'll start the process. Luckily I have links with Citroën UK. I'd like to get the Citroën Car Club involved too as it'd be nice to have a variety of cars taking part. Having said that in the case of the Challenge, although it was clearly advertised as being open to the CCC and all its DS's, CX's etc. it was mainly BX's that took part; an indication, perhaps of how much better a small club is for these sort of things; a lot more 'pulling together'.

What d'you mean variety - You'll have a GS going :D

I suspect that's because many CCC members with classic Citroens don't actually use them for anything other than shows and the occasional day trip when it's sunny, while most with cars later than a BX don't regard them as classics, so excluded themselves for that reason. I suspect you'll have a better response for a trip to look at old, rare and one off Citroens, although how many will want to do the trip in an older Citroen I don't know.

I'd love to be taking one of my CX's, but neither are roadworthy just now!

Looks like there won't be a problem getting a group together. I know there's a minimum size - possibly 20, but I'll check. And there's probably a maximum size too. I've started a thread in the Events section.
