To each their own I suppose,
Personally, I think it's hideous!
They were common on CX's aswell but again, I wouldn't put one on my car!
Also they do restrict vision quite badly...

It is hideous but at the same time it is very 70's chic, only fitting for a very early BX IMHO complete with a set of these

Re: Another ebay.fr find . . .
I had one on my GT a few years ago, for about a week, the rear vision was er, not there and I felt it spoilt the lines of the car.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Re: Another ebay.fr find . . .
Did it actually sell for that price then? I am a fan of these things.. keep the sun out in summer, look sporty and sexy, bird magnet, bringer of worldy success and well-being etc.. ( Am I under-selling?)
As for rear vision. What's there to see behind anyway? Some Audi flashing for the old piece of French tin to move over.
These have become quite popular in the US again with the new generation of retro styled muscle cars such as the Mustang.

You can always remove it. That's what I've done with my 16v.. I'll try to take a photo at some point if I can get all the birds who are stuck to it out of the way. Or is that flies?WANT!! But it probably wouldn't fit under the pram handle

Not sure if it sold.
Todd, your TRD came to mind when I saw it. Lovely car by the way.

Re: Another ebay.fr find . . .
Now re-listed
The louvres on my TRD are not original Citroen whereas this one for sale is - it's bigger and actually fits onto the door rather than just the glass.
I've been considering what to do with the TRD actually, the head gasket and the clutch need doing - whether to transplant all its low mileage good bits onto my yellow break then use the shell to build a Mk.1 16v as the shell on my newly aquired black 16v is quite ripe in places - or just leave it sleeping in the barn. Seeing as I have about five minutes free time everyday and fifty building sites, probably it will sleep on and on..

Would make yours even rarer then Tim. I have plenty of stupid ideas that come to nothing but really it always looked as though it should go faster than it actually does!

Another find, this time Leboncoin. They look like BX ones but the seller doesn't state. They wont ship to the UK either (I asked) which is a bummer as I want them for my TZD

Link to the ABOVE quote for ref.KevR wrote:If he won't ship to UK, anyone potential buyer is welcome to get them shipped to my place and I'll either forward them on from here or bring to UK next time I'm back.
Edit: just looked at the ad and he states postage for other countries is 15 euros, so clearly he IS happy to post abroad.
