Clutch cable

Post by Wooscary »

Could anyone help me with a part number/source/ebay link for a clutch cable for a TD?

I'd like to carry a spare for our trip to France next week.

Cheers

My advice would be to check the new cable length before fitting. Earlier this year I changed the cable, mainly as the old cable was proving difficult to refit after I had the pedal box out for welding. The new one was about an inch too short (that's about 25mm Martin ) to reach the gearbox, and probably overall about 2" shorter than the original cable.

Must have a look in my shed, I'm pretty sure there's both a new and a second hand BX clutch cables in there somewhere, :)

Malcolm managed to get the exact clutch cable from his local motor factors next day delivery for my TZD Estate when he did the head on it earlier in the year. All the ones i had were wrong sort when bought off feebay.
I think he knows his onions.
