Newbury BX hoarder
Newbury BX hoarder
Is this anybody here? A chap at work today saw my car and said he often drives past a house in Thatcham with five or six BXs in the yard. Was in a hurry so couldn't make further enquiries

Five or six BXs? That guy needs psychiatric help :

If it's the same one I met this guy a few years ago when i lived in Basingstoke. He bought some parts off me or vice versa. Mind you, Dan B from the 16v club also lives Thatcham way.
I have zero patience for your tedium.

Thats just a small selection of my stockpile, I keep the rest (circa 20) together with a vast stock of spares I have accumulated elsewhere.
Why not call in next time your passing, as I am considering getting rid of one of them (a 19TZS which I got for free with a blown engine, and to which I fitted a very low milage 1905 TD engine and box from accident damaged write off Peugeot 306). I ran it like this for 8 years, and only stopped using it because the insurance company became very awkward about the non standard engine [which is on the log book, and which I had always declared] when they had a change of policy and the insurance renewal became due.
The only person I remember dealing with from Basingstoke, was someone I sold a s/h front ABS sensor, for a BX16vJayW wrote:If it's the same one I met this guy a few years ago when i lived in Basingstoke. He bought some parts off me or vice versa.

I seem to remember you came and collected it in a Red MKII 16v, and you had your young child with you. I assume the sensor was OK, as I never heard any more from you.JayW wrote: Indeed, that may well have been me, Knew that sensor came from someone local
Unfortunatley no more ABS sensorsJayW wrote: What else you flogging then? Passing your way next week
However if you want a pseudo BX Turbo Diesel, I might be persuaded to part with it, if we could agree an amicable price.
