I am selling our Citroen BX Diesel Automatic. It has been owned by our family since new. It has done less than 104,000 miles. New head about 10,000 miles ago. It has a small LHM leak, and a damaged front nearside wing and bumper, damaged several years ago, and although slightly unsightly has not been a problem with safety issues or MOTs. The MOT is until May 2013. Originally registered in 1992.
THE GEARBOX HAS PACKED UP AND NEEDS A BIG OVERHAUL, OR A REPLACEMENT ONE. IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO REPAIR THE EXISING ONE. THE CAR IS NOT DRIVEABLE. The failed gearbox is my only reason for selling the car. The car is at a garage in Dorking who could deliver it at your cost. I don't want to scrap the car because I think it is far too good for that.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE BUYING THIS CAR FOR SPARES OR REPAIR. IT IS NOT DRIVEABLE BECAUSE OF THE BROKEN GEARBOX.
There is no reserve. Once the auction is finished, the car belongs to the winning bidder, whose responsibility it is to arrange collection of the car directly with the garage. The garage is not charging a storage fee, and is very understanding, having serviced the car for years; however if you don't arrange removal within a reasonable time, they may charge or have to scrap the car, so if you win you must contact the garage urgently and agree collection. I will give them the winner's contact details. I am a Citroen Car Club member, and I hope that I can find a good home for the car because apparently there are only 11 left.
Ian, can you get hold of a Brian James trl via work? I'd be willing to help out with towing duties if you need a hand.

I'm self-employed, so no. I can get my hands on a trailer but by the time you've factored in fuel costs etc, it's an expensive trip. Shiply got my Mk2 back to me for £200 from deepest Kent, which I didn't think was bad at all.
