BX book

Post by Paul296 »

First spotted on Chris's (Xemes) 'visit' thread. About time there was a decent book on the BX . . .

http://www.amazon.fr/Citro%C3%ABn-mon-p ... 2726896332" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Google translate struggles with the synopsis a bit . . .

'In 1982, Citroën come a long way, now in the lap of the PSA company had to design a self striking and successful candidate. The challenge is twofold because the novelty must maintain certain values ??of the brand not to frighten the faithful, while defeating mania to conquer a wider audience. The BX early will quickly supported by embarking versions, some for the first time, Peugeot technology. The Sport, GTi, the 16 valves, the 4x4, not counting the break also designed and 4TC, form a family we invite you to find. This book via documents, photos and testimonials, traces the career of Citroën, including competition. With its taut lines in Italian, she will meet a great success and enable Citroën to regain the spotlight. The BX saved the double chevron, its successors and Xantia Xsara eventually to recover.'

. . . but you get the picture!

Order now, available soon. Got to be worth 19 quid?

Having read the poster for the Conservatoire trip more carefully, my really rusty French translates some of that as there being signed-by-the-author copies available from the French BXM club.
