I don't think there would be much of a market for that

Although in a roundabout way, I kind of have with this car.

Well it's been bleddy ages since I've managed to find time to sort anything on this car, but in the last couple of weeks I've managed to jump back on it:

Started replacing the carpet:

Found the subframe's never been off in all this time:

Modified the pedal box to stop it flexing:

Admired the rear bumper I got for a steal on eBay (thanks RxBx for the link):

Loosely fitted some panels up. It's not a finished job by any stretch, but it's a good guide!

It's slowly coming on :)

Long overdue cambelt and clutch, but otherwise fine despite 190k miles. Desperately needs a tune-up though.....was rocking 72bhp last time it went on the dyno!

Yeah, I remember it wasn't exactly a throbbing powerhouse, but wasn't sure whether it was more serious than just needing a tune.

Not really sure to this day to be honest. It sounds healthy, if a little loose at the bottom end. I think the carb is the main issue, and the timing feels a bit retarded.

My father in laws. Rustier than a rusty thing (well it was), but he's owned it since 1985 so we had to fix it really. It's taken ages!

Bugger!

I only started peeling back the carpet to smooth out a crease in it! It's going to be a right bellend to put right too, as there's a section along the back of the quarter panel that this bonds to, and it's just missing.

Popped outside to look at G-SEG and see if (just by chance) there was a repair panel available, but it looks like it's a common spot for rot, so I'll be off to check out BAH soon!

Image

Although it is the only panel in the boot of G-SEG that doesn't have a hole in it!

Yep - had to do the same job on the 14 I had - the top hole I think is due to part of the fuel breather system being clipped to the underside where it can trap dirt, while the lower bits look like where the support panel that stiffens everything up around the bumper end mounts is fitted.

standard. They ALL go there, and along the top edge, and around the outrigger.
The brace panel beyond it will be fucked too, and thats a wing off job..
