WTD: Wheel bolts

Post by Dollywobbler »

Has anyone got any spare wheel bolts? Has just occurred to me that if I'm flogging the alloys, I'll need some bolts to enable me to put the steelies on...

I also have the difficult decision to make about wheel trims. I'm not really keen on the TXD ones (and they could be tricky to find). Might just stick the TGD ones I have on, though I quite like some of the later Citroen ones... (heresy! The wheeltrim Police will get me!)

Excellent. Are you working on the 30th Sept Tim? I'll be at a classic car show at Uttoxeter.

Cool. If it makes it easier, for some reason the car came with four bolts. Hmmm. Maybe I should have a more detailed inspection of the crevices in case the others are lurking somewhere thinking about it...

For the spare maybe? I've got four steelie suiting bolts for that purpose in the boot.

Obviously you can take 3 from each wheel from the ol' donor car, and still have that moveable. It'll give you a bit of time to obtain some. I have a full car set somewhere!

Just remember to check which spare wheel you have. The spare for speedlines has flat seats and only accepts the speedline bolts. The standard has conical seats.
I have zero patience for your tedium.

Ah, of course! Suggests the spare is a standard steel, which I think it is. I did look under the back before I bought it...

Malcolm - I need enough for three more wheels. *remembers how crap he is at maths.* I make that a grand total of 12.

I reckon these are the best of the bunch - I've never been a fan of the TZD style ones. Not sure what a TXD should have anyway...

With apologies to Vince, the trims are like these. They look a bit cheap and nasty to me though...

My favourite trims are the TZD ones, but the spare TGD ones I have will do for now.
