That`ll be a seriously cheap car i.m.h.o. No mention of tax or MOT (or none that I spotted anyway), trim missing front bumper, cheapo wheel trims and the things he mentioned.
Good news is he`s put his phone number on the listing which USUALLY means a quick `phone call and a cheap offer later and it`s yours.
Trust me, I know this

What's the betting it's a 16RS model though, and hence not particularly desireable.

Strange that the ebay listing doesn't even say that it's a diesel....

True, but those boffins of us will note that it has the 2 tone bumpers so it must me a TZ series car, so could be either a 19TZS/i or 17TZD Turbo only.
Most likely as in this case its a diesel.

Ive emailed the seller regarding MOT Miles etc.

I was considering whether to dabble in a diesel after hearing so many of you singing their praises!

If the engine runs it should be towable from Thatcham to Reading.

Just wondering how practical it is to change the clutch without removing the engine?

Having discovered BXclub, I would still hang on to my GTi as well though!

No need to remove the engine to do the clutch just allow plenty of time, fit genuine parts and enjoy doing it.
