Where to buy Hydraurincage (hydraflush)

Post by Dollywobbler »

Howdy folks

Where's a good place to buy Hydraurincage these days? Struggling to find anywhere that will sell it in the first place and when I do, they want £16 to deliver it!

When do you need it by Ian? I can see if Dave Ashworth in Blackpool sells it and pick some up for you en-route to the NEC. I know GSF sells it, but as you say you then have to factor in the p&p.

I can check if Rob will sell at a reasonable price and drop it to you at NEC - I'm over there next week: let me know :)

Yes to both offers, if you could investigate costs. I can see there being a lot of fluid transfer situations at the NEC at this rate... (oo-er!)

I think our finnish friends use diesel instead of hydraflush, never tried it myself & i'd deffo want to know exactly how many miles i should have the diesel going through the hydraulics before changing it.

Ian, Is this any good price-wise, HYDRAURINCAGE £29.40 incl. VAT, (But approx. £15/16 extra for delivery) also states 'Now Back In Stock' !

Some sold on E-BAY recently, realised £34.87 incl. delivery (5 litres) which also seems to be from the same source

All the best in securing some at the best price !

Diesel does seem a bit of a leap of faith. Would be interested to know what Mark and Sandre can get costwise...

Personally I think diesel will make an excellent flushing agent which I intend to use but only on a short term basis i.e a couple of days then drain again. It is an excellent cleaner on hydraulic valves with excellent lubing charachteristics and after all your fuel injection system is lubed by it?

Hi I would get some LHM seals, probably the little pipe seals would be easiest, and put them in a jar with some diesel for a day/s just to check what would happen to be on the safe side. Our friends abroad may use it OK but who knows what the difference in spec. in between our diesel and theirs is?
Diesel is great for cleaning and unseizing things but can desolve some rubber into a sticky mess.
Cheers.

..that_ I too thought about that, but its not just the pipe seals (which maybe okay with Diesel) :?

I was thinking more about the seals in the FDV, Douseur Valve, HP pump, brake calipers and PAS ram

The LHM seals should be fine, the injection pumps, the full fuel system including lift pump, injection pump, fuel filter housing, fuel lines all have standard seals for straight diesel no matter which country. Non-standard viton seals are usually only needed when bio-fuels are used so I'm sure the LHM seals will be fine plus they have already been tried and tested.

In Australia when the weather is not too cold they use colza oil instead of LHM to clean all the circuit : cheaper and better
Only problem : it's freezing when too cold
You can buy it every where they sell food
