Rear view mirror wanted
Rear view mirror wanted. I mean one that swivels freely on its ball joint, unlike the (otherwise perfect) mirror I have now. The stiffness of the original led to its coming unstuck from the glass. Supaglue holds it for a while, so as I'm cursed with the task of continually sticking it back. This would be less onerous if the damn thing could be adjusted with a light touch,without breaking the new glue. Any recommendation of adhesive would be welcome. Looking forward to hearing from you...on reflection.
A BX fan since buying a 1983 1.6 in 1987 and subsequently a 1.9GTi, three 16valvers and a diesel Meteor. Their deaths have us done parted, save for one 16V sold for restoration, hopefully underway.

You can buy a special kit which includes some gauze & glue specifically for mirrors to be bonded to the windscreen. UV & temp changes will just cause superglue to harden & then it cracks. Have a search on e-bay for some, shouldn't be that expensive & a fair bit cheaper than replacing the actual mirror.
