BX 14E Break for sale in Switzerland

Just spotted THIS ODDITY while having my weekly browse of the Swiss ads. Looks to be in good nick, just had a service inc. cambelt, 48k miles - 600 British Sheets! ( It says : Sale - super cheap!)

Wow, that's quite funky, could see myself having that! Injection too, didn't know they did an injected 14 but then they did injected 1.3/4/6 MK2 astra's in Germany etc too so I guess emissions laws are stricter on the continent.

I think they'd discontinued the 14's in the UK by the time they started injecting them. So this is an injected TU engined estate with manual windows, locks and steering, vinyl door cards and body coloured window surrounds, door tops and sills! If I didn't have Timex I could be tempted with this myself!

Looks like it's a 1990 though (if I've read that right) so more likely that it was injection so it could be allied to a catalyst - quite likely for the Swiss market?

Being injected, would that make a new exhaust expensive with a cat if not impossible to find?

It wouldn't have to have a cat over here at that age, and the boss for a lambda sensor would be easy to weld in. But yes, difficult to find on the shelf at Kwik Fit!

It would certainly have been fitted with a Cat in 1990 in Switzerland, my Dad's E reg CX has one fitted. TBH i don't think the cat would be an issue, as evertime my Dad used to get the CX emission tested, they always commented on how good it was on its emissions & then when he explained it was fitted with a Cat they said not according to their records. Which was true, the same UK model wasn't fitted with one, so that BX one won't be on the system either as no UK 1400 had them fitted.
