Re: Southern Rolling Road & Tech Day - end Feb/beg. Mar
I'd be up for a rolling road day. Might even be inclined to take the CX Turbo down. Could do either date, but March 2nd would be better for me.

That would be very interesting as Citroen always quoted the same power output for the Turbo 2 as the Turbo 1s...

It would be interesting to see what one would pull on the rollers!hilarystone wrote:That would be very interesting as Citroën always quoted the same power output for the Turbo 2 as the Turbo 1s...
Unofficially the GTi Turbo 2s are probably around 180BHP, although all GTi Turbos or Turbo 2s have their own personalities... 168BHP was quoted for both though (French Tax Laws back in the day?).
Neil CGAT is your man for GTi Turbos, although IIRC differences include addition of the intercooler, slightly different pistons and compression ratios (due to the intercooler), smaller cc injectors, higher ratio gearbox. Maybe a slight difference to turbo as well (housing?).
What they've lost over the years is another thing, of course...

Have to liase with Sandre regarding the dates, but I'm still game for doing it. I did one yesterday for the MG lot....turn out was poor after having had so many commit (typical when you try and organise something, hence I normally don't!) but the guys who did turn up were sound so it was still a good day.

Re: Southern Rolling Road & Tech Day - end Feb/beg. Mar
The 23rd is only just over a week away so can we make a decision - the 2nd March would definitely be better for me.... And there are several others plumping for the 2nd...

Re: Southern Rolling Road & Tech Day - end Feb/beg. Mar
I don't want to tread on Sandre's toes (but then I don't expect her to do my dirty work either!) but I'm happy to go with the 2nd if the majority of others are.
If anyone really wants to come, but can't make the 2nd March, speak now!

2 March is good for me, if anyone from points north/east wants accommodation, PM me. Thanks for picking up Rich

Re: Southern Rolling Road & Tech Day - end Feb/beg. Mar
We've left it 3 days now, and no objections, so yeah I'll go 2nd March.
I need to know in advance if anybody wishes to use the ramp and who wants a dyno run on the rollers.
Cheers

Shall I start a dyno run list?
Hilary BX 16V (I have a modded ECU I can bring along too, would be good to see what effect if any it has on performance...)

Dyno list is a good idea guys, nice one.
Anyway, here's a link to our address: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?fti ... PZ8APP-IEY
If you're not sure where Fareham is, look at a map of the UK and find the Isle of Wight. Look North of the IOW on the other side of the water. That's Fareham, pretty much.
Or Southampton, in which case now look South East slightly!
I'll open the doors at 10am. I can supply tea/coffee/biscuits etc, but for cooked food you're look at a McDonalds, or an Asda cafe over the road! There's also also usually a burger van in the Wicks car park nearby. If anyone wants to bring cooking facilities, feel free. We've got a microwave if that helps

I'd like to do it too once the BX is welded back up again, so am hoping there'll be another similar thing later in the year. I can't make these dates anyway, even if I was interested in what the Focus is putting out!
