Some BXs

Post by vulgalour »

Spotted this a little while ago in Chesterfield. First one I'd seen out in the wild in a few years, the last one being a graphite one in Folkingham.

You can see my Princess lurking in the background too.

Actually, I tell a lie. I did see a couple others since seeing the Folkingham car. They were both heading down the M1 at a fair old clip. Have to take my word for it that the first one was a red one.

The second was a silver one.

Couldn't keep up with them in my housemate's little 3 cylinder Peugeot

That would be me! Where was the pic taken? It must have been taken quite a while ago as I've now removed the tow-bar ( or rather Mr. Matthew Mullen of Chesterfield has! 8) ) and the TGD trims have been replaced with alloys. . .

Image

(P.S. thanks for providing me with an excuse to post another a pic of my car - like I needed one! :D )

edit; the red one might have been Tim in his TZD - I can't remember convoying with any other red BX and it would explain why I was driving unreasonably quickly: to keep up with bloody 'gas happy' :D

Indeed it is Mark, indeed it is. Infact shortly after that pic was taken I remember I encountered an example of that well known lawn mower on wheels; the Bugatti Veyron . . . left it for dust (obviously 8) )

It certainly was. That was the very first time I drove that car; saved from the crusher by 48 hours (and me of course!). Then it was still a 'death trap' with a (very) rusty inner wing and the pedal box was an accident waiting to happen. How things have changed; that car got lucky when I turned up at Kens with 300 quid in my pocket. :D

AND the lack of power steering has turned me from a nine stone ( :^o ) weakling to a man with arms like Popeye on steroids! :D
