This is intended to be a fresh start for the Retro Rides South Yorkshire Meet and reboot it as a family friendly event where we can meet and talk cars, admire each others work and get ideas. Or just meet up with mates and a enjoy some food and drink with a decent backdrop of cars.

Anyone choosing to continue to meet at Meadowhall Retail Park does so at their own risk. Take this message as being an official cut with that event as having anything to do with Retro Rides.

Let's make this excellent together.

Sandre, there are regular retro ride meets at the ace cafe on the north circular road near Wembley IIRC, might be easier for you to get to

As MT says, there are Retro Rides meets all over the country, this just happens to be the one I took over organising a while ago. Sometimes, we get a good chunk of PSA stuff turn up but Citroens are thin on the ground though there has been a very nice 2CV in burgundy and cream and there's usually a lovely dark green ZX that's a regular attendee. It's a proper mixed bag meet, the emphasis being that cars are modified and/or retro in flavour. We get moderns, classics, we've had hot rods and even silly off road things turn up as well as drag strip cars and the ubiquitous Max Power types.

You never know what's going to turn up from one meet to the next, and I really like that aspect. It's rare that there's a month where something new and interesting doesn't appear and I think a flock of BXs would be superb to see, even if it were only a small flock.

The meet happens at the same location on the first Monday of every month, unless otherwise stated.

I think I know the meet you mean Mick - Ace café? In which case, North Circular + Hangar Lane means it would probably be quicker to drive up to Sheffield ...

That would be me with the Zx , great evening the RR meets , I've not had chance to get lately due to working but there really is a fantastic mix of cars there , it would be nice to get a few Citroens there .

I could go straight from work too, finish at 6.30 on Mondays and i'm half an hour way, bob on. Not sure if i'll be able to make it this time round, but will certainly be there next month.
